What Is A Yat Adoptable?
An Adoptable is a representation of an upright person from top to bottom, defined using a string of emojis, starting from the left and moving to the right. The most basic Adoptable starts with a head on the left, moves to the torso, and ends with feet on the right (see below for examples).
The first I heard of Adoptables was in the Yat community. Using the emojis within the Yat universe, millions of Adoptables can be created.
Take a look at the most popular NFTs today. The punks, apes and camels are all essentially a limited list of emoji-like features put together to create a unique collectable character. For most NFTs, this is where the use-case ends. You can't do much with your ape except show it off.
Yats allow you to own a personal Adoptable NFT you design for $5 or less in most cases. Yats also have the added benefit of serving as much more than just a collectable picture. Someday, they may be used as web/email addresses, crypto wallets, metaverse skins, and secure identities.

Adoptable Ideas
There are a few basic ways to build upon the Adoptable. For example, you can add headwear in the first position.

The options open up when you add an emoji signifying an activity before or after the face. I think of something being held as belonging in the 2nd position, such as a bottle or game controller below. An activity defining an adoptable, such as a volleyball player or flower lover, might appear in the 1st position instead.

There are other ways Yatters have found to add even more variety. For example, adding locations, emotions or, well, just about anything else that makes sense.

Or replacing the face with an animal or other emoji.

The options are endless, seemingly only limited by people's creativity. Take a look at https://y.at and see the Adoptables you can come up with to define your identity.
